1062. Walter Sidney Meader (1900 - 1973)
Walter Sidney Meader, son of Walter Sidney Meader (1857-1938) [1024] and Lucy Hawkes (1865-1952), was born September 9, 1900 in Sandwich, MA and died in 1973. A graduate of Moses Brown School in 1918 and of the University of New Hampshire in 1922. He was an electrical engineer with Western Union until he retired in 1965, he was in charge of the installation of the trans-Atlantic cable at the Azores and also of several similar projects. He was living in Glen Rock, NJ with his second wife at the time of his death.
He married:
1) Helen Brake. They were divorced.
2) Marguerite Hoar in Dover, NH. She was born in 1907 in Ossining, NY and was living in Glen Rock in 1978.
